The
FZ300 is compact and
reasonably unobtrusive. AF is very fast
and accurate and picture quality good enough in a wide variety of
circumstances.
Here are some examples from a day in Sydney, mainly in the tourist areas where someone taking photos can pass unremarked.
All were shot as RAW then subjected to work in Adobe Camera Raw.
There are many tourists in Sydney.
Most take photos with their smart phone.
But of those carrying a camera I notice that many have a DSLR with a boring kit lens with short zoom range and an aperture of f3.5-5.6 or smaller.

I really like your posts. We were in Verona, Italy a couple of years ago, and I noticed that most of the tourists had their DSLR cameras around their neck with the lens cap on !! Those with mobiles were having problems with the bright light. The screen were not usable.
ReplyDeleteThe high light levels were also a problem for compact camera users as well, the screens being almost invisible.
I currently use a GX8, which I am very pleased with. I am from the UK, so high light levels are not so much a problem here !!
Forgot to mention. keep up the good work re camera ergonomics, maybe the camera makers will take notice one day. I am old enough to have used 10x8 plate cameras when I started work in commercial photography in London a long time ago !! 5x4 was regarded as small format.
